Keith is the owner of Everest Waterproofing & Restoration in San Francisco and as such he has provided jobs to many Tibetan refugees in the Bay Area. In 1999 Keith was president of Foodrunners - a hunger relief organization. Keith can still be found each Saturday at the local farmers market collecting surplus food for delivery to homeless shelters.

Esther Lev

Esther has traveled to Nepal every year since 1989. In addition to her work with SEEDS, she has worked with Bird Conseravtion Nepal and other Nepalese conservation organizations. She lives in Portland, Oregon, where she is the stewardship director of The Wetlands Conservancy, a small non-profit land trust.
Esther has spent the last twenty five years working with community groups on watershed planning and restoration of dreams and wetlands. She has been involved with groups and projects around the US as well as in Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Nepal and Thailand. |

K.P. is a hugely popular trekking guide in Nepal. In 1998, he inspired a few of his trekking clients to “help me give back to my country”. Within 6 months S.E.E.D.S. was founded. K.P.’s tireless energy enables him to personally oversee every SE.E.D.S. project. Equally at home on a dirt floor in a remote village or seated at a dinner in a Hollywood salon, K.P. inspires all who meet him. He is the father of three sons and lives just outside Kathmandu. K.P. personally leads groups on his unique village treks or to the highest points of the Himalayas. K.P. is proud to been selected as a trek leader for REI.

Geoff Childs, Ph.D.

Geoff is an anthropologist (PhD, Indiana University) specializing in population research among indigenous Tibetan communities of the Himalayan highlands. He has spent much of his career under-taking ethnographic, demographic, and historical investigations of the Nubri Valley (near Mt. Manaslu) where SEEDS currently maintains several health and education projects. Nick Lederer

Nick first visited Nepal in 1995 and fell in love with the country and its people. Nick has been involved in community and non-profit programs in San Francisco since 1968. Early projects included a tutorial center and several free health clinics. Since 1976, he has been the Executive Director of Golden Gate Senior Services, which currently includes two Senior Centers and a Program for Developmentally Disabled Adults. Nick also serves on the boards of several non-profit groups, including the Haight Ashbury Free Clinic. Nick is especially impressed with how quickly S.E.E.D.S. responds to program requests and administers its programs. |
