Most SEEDS projects are directed at communities rather than individuals. But SEEDS can be utilized as a conduit for people who wish to assist specific individuals. How could we refuse this request?

Saraswati Tuladhar is a young Nepali woman with a terribly disfiguring facial tumor. SEEDS sponsored surgery in Oregon which has transformed her life. Saraswati rarely left her home from the age of 8 - she is now 20 - until the wonderful doctors and people of Bend, Oregon opened their hearts with extraordinary generosity and compassion. Successful surgery removed the tumor and transformed Saraswati's life.

Saraswati has returned to Nepal and was seen "striding through the streets of Kathmandu with her head held high, smiling from ear to ear."

Thanks to the kindness and generosity of some caring Oregonians, SEEDS has helped Saraswati start a new life free of a crippling burden.
