Sama is a remote Tibetan enclave inside Nepal just a couple of miles from the Tibet border. Before SEEDS arrived, not a single childhad received even a first grade education. Now with SEEDS sponsorship, ayoung man from Sama, who completed a degree in teaching in Kathmandu, has returned to help his fellow villagers. 80 children now attend Sama's school daily!!
To further improve the welfare of Sama, 2 young boys and 2 young girls are receiving SEEDS scholarships to attend private schools in the nation's capital. The agreement with their families and the villagers is that these four young people will return to the village in the capacity of teachers, health and sanitation specialists, or to initiate new development projects.
There are other villages in this area with the same needs. Would you like to be a part of our efforts to brighten the future of these needy villages?
